Sorry, folks. Got sick this week and have been playing catch up.

Now that I got the introductory storyline out of the way, I can get back to everyday comics. I thought I'd ease into it with a Freshman comic.

That's right, I'm back. There's more to come, and eventually I'll get the rest of the features in, but for now I was mostly interested in getting the comics themselves up and running.

I've been wanting to do an Indiana Jones comic for years, and now I realize why it's taken so long: I can't draw a Fedora.

I don't recall ever having done comics two days in a row that are so, um, connected. But doing yesterday's led to this one, and I'm not one to fight the tide of inevitability. On the plus side, if you've never read Danté, you'll be glad to know tomorrow's comic has nothing to do with him or his work. Whew.

Okay, this one's kind of obscure, even for me. All I'll say is it stemmed from a discussion about the mispronunciation of Adirondak.

This is what happens when you're not feeling very inspired.

This is the first time I've ever done a three-pane comic for Off The Wall. As it turns out, not a whole lot of room to work with, but I think it turned out okay.

I feel awful. Really, I do.

Okay, okay, no excuses. Look, I've just been really lazy and/or possibly uninspired. Maybe too tired. Not sure, but just never seemed to get around to doing a comic. Now I have.

I know, I know, I said I was going to post them all at once. But after being sick I just haven't been in the mood to ink and scan a whole stack. So just be happy I posted something and I'll get to them when I get to them.

The bad news: I'm pretty sick right now. I'm achy, feverish, congested and snotty. So I'm not posting any comics for a few more days. The good news: I've been drawing them, so when I feel better I'll ink, scan and upload them. Just think, a whole bunch of comics at once!

Must've been the weekend, because I didn't post comics until late last night.

Uh oh, I think I'm starting to see a pattern here. Two comics, and I draw sheep and snowmen. Doesn't really get much simpler than that, does it? Maybe tomorrow I'll do a snowsheep.

I'll keep this short. Again, I apologize for dropping the ball. I had fully intended to start back up this week, but in all honesty I'm just still not feeling up to it. But, I swear I will get back on it soon, and I'm still planning to make up all the missing comics.

I apologize for the missing comics again. The long and short of it is, my father passed away earlier this week, and I've not only been away from the computer, but it's often hard to want to be funny. Still, I've been collecting ideas, and I'm planning on making them all up, even if only one or two at a time.

You might have noticed today's comic isn't up yet. So sorry. I've found I have this tendency to not do a comic on Friday nights. Let's face it, the week is over and all I'm thinking about is relaxing and how I don't have to do anything for two days. Oh, except a comic.

We had peas last night. Mmmm mmm. Good eatin'

I guess it kind of appears the kid got more peas than the mother. As a parent, do I give my children more peas than I give myself? Heck no. I actually like them, so I tend to get the lion's share. Besides, the rest of her peas are behind her chicken or whatever that brown thing is.

I've been going blog happy, which is almost strange since I never add to this one. And, for that matter, I don't have much to say but I'm posting anyway. What an ass I can be.

I've never claimed to be a "comic book" artist. I've never tried to be one.

At the risk of sounding foolish and making asinine predictions, all I'll say today is that comics are back. Enjoy 'em while you can.

If it seems like forever since I've done anything (such as, say, a comic) for the Off The Wall site, it's because it has been forever. I keep telling myself, "Yeah, I guess I should get back on that," but then I never do. Crud.

First of all, many many thanks to those of you who have contacted me asking when Off The Wall would return. I can't tell you enough how much I appreciate your interest.

Without having taken a look through the archives, I can't recall a time in the past five years I've been actively doing comics when September 11 rolled around. So, on this the five-year anniversary, I offer my prayers to those affected by the attacks, and my unwavering support to those who continue to fight for our freedom. Your efforts are not unappreciated.

I've reluctantly come to the realization that, at least in this point in my life, comics will be a hit or miss thing with me. I enjoy doing them, but I don't always have the time to keep up with them. So if I have an idea and some time, there'll be a new comic. All I can ask is that you check back from time to time. I apologize to those who look forward to them every day, but also would like to stress my appreciation of your understanding.

The good news: itzoe.net moved to a new host, with more storage and hopefully better speed. The bad news: with new hosting came a new backend, which meant much of itzoe.net has needed to be re-written to take advantage of the new features. So it took me a while to get Off The Wall up and running again, but here she is, just as good (ahem) as ever. Really, sorry for the delay. Please come back again.

Welcome to the (mostly) new and (hopefully) improved Off The Wall! I really must apologize for the missing comics last week, but things just started to snowball and next thing I knew I was a week behind. But, if you're reading this and it's Monday, April 24, then I've finished some of the missing comics and finished the site redesign. I really hope you like it, I'm quite please with it.

Oops, I've done it again... I just didn't think it would happen so soon.

The new job is going okay, so I figured if I was going to start this thing up again, now was the time or I'd never do it. Everytime I stop doing comics, I start getting this antsy feeling after a while, and I realize… I actually miss doing these things.

By the way, today is my son Wylliam's seventh birthday. Happy birthday, kiddo!

All right. I'm really, really sorry there've been so many missing comics lately. I admit I've let myself become a victim of life and I've just been "too busy." I'm really going to try to get back on the ball, plus I swear I'm going to make up all the missing ones. Really.

First off, I've been remiss on updating this blog in anything even remotely ressembling a timely fashion, but as I mentioned before, I usually just don't have that much to say.

I've discovered the first truly dirty secret of a blog: I really don't have anything to say. That's not entirely true, but it usually seems as soon as I think of something I want to jot down, I'm not in a position to enter it, and I forget and then it never happens. Also, I've generally been busy with other things, and other than posting a comic, doing anything else with this site right now is pretty low on my list. I'm pleased with this site, I like this site, I'm not gonna change this site in the foreseeable future.

Well, I finally did it. After procrastinating, hemming and hawing, and generally sitting around with my finger up my butt, I got this behemoth up and running again. In all honesty, I was starting to miss this, which is ironic since when I'm actually actively doing it, I sometimes dread having to come up with an idea, or feel too lazy to actually sit down and draw something. But at the end of the day when I see my work on the Web, I get that funny little sense of satisfation, sometimes even making me feel smug.
