Let's do the time warp again!
Monday, January 10, 2011
Okay, it's not exactly a time warp, but clearly things have changed. I've been wanting to revamp the site for some time, so I finally got off my duff and did it. Additionally, I wanted to add some new things I hadn’t done before, and I wanted everything to be a bit more coherent and consistent. I started the site intending it to be for all Itzoe family members, but over time it became my own personal portfolio for my creative endeavors, so I decided to really push that aspect.
In a nutshell, here’s what’s new:
- The whole site is built on a content-management system, which will (hopefully) make it easier to update and maintain.
- Off The Wall, Michael Andrew and The Good News have been more fully integrated with the core website.
- The left-side panel on the front page has a couple of “fun” items. Stuck In My Head is whatever song currently happens to be, well, stuck in my head. Recently Watched is whatever movie to TV I’ve seen lately, probably on Netflix. What I’m Reading is, yeah, what literature I’m currently reading. All right, all right, maybe not fun, except I can update these in real-time from my cell phone. Woot.
User accounts still exist, but passwords have been reset. I’m probably going to send out an e-mail to existing users regarding this, but in the meantime you can send an e-mail to registrar@itzoe.net and I’ll send you your new random password, which you’ll be able to change.
Finally, Michael Andrew did not receive much updating, and at this time I don’t know if it will, mainly because I put so much work into programming it I’m not sure I’m up to doing it again. We’ll see how that goes.
I’m pretty excited about this, and I’d love to hear your feedback.
