Spaghetti sauce, be damned

Okay, this didn't turn out like I thought it would. Frankly, the picture is crap, and it's the best one I could get. Turns out my new camera phone is less than stellar when it comes to close-ups. So what looks like a mosquito bite is actually a marinara burn.

That's right.

If ever I needed yet another reason to be generally tired of and over spaghetti, getting burned by splattering sauce while cooking probably ranks up there. In my opinion, one of the few redeeming qualities of spaghetti is the mighty meatball. But, alas, there were no meatballs tonight, which only adds insult to unjury. Fuck you, spaghetti.
