To pan no more

We went and saw a movie tonight, and we thoroughly enjoyed it. What the movie was is irrelevant. It made me realize that, after trying to write a glowing review of Pan's Labyrinth and pretty much coming up short, it's much more fun to pan the bad movies.
Thing is, when I enjoyed a movie, as much as I'd like to tell you all about it, I really don't want to because then I'd feel I'd be giving something away. I just don't get that feeling with bad movies. In fact, with a bad movie, it's almost as if I have to give it away just to make you believe how bad it really was. And let's face it, it's more entertaining to dwell on the cinematic misery of others anyway.
So I guess it comes down to I'm not going to talk much about movies I like unless I really feel like I can do so without spoiling anything. Instead, I'll focus on the stinky, sticky, crappy stuff. Yum.
By the way, if you're looking for something bad, I guess the only thing I can really recommend right now would be Nine Lives. I'm not sure what it's about, because after twenty some-odd minutes we were still waiting for the action to kick in, but it does star Paris Hilton, so maybe she dies somewhere along the way. If you see it, let me know if it's worth watching the rest.
Oh, and what did we see tonight? Enchanted. We found it charming and very enjoyable. Anyone who enjoys the classic animated Disney movies should really get a kick out of this one. And that's all I have to say about that.
