It's about dang time, don't ya think?

I'm pleased to announce the availablity of my latest album, Comfort And Joy. What the heck took so long, anyway? Well, life happens.
I wanted to do a follow-up to Merry, Merry, Merry for many, many years, but it just never happened. To be honest, I typically didn't start thinking about a Christmas album until the Christmas season, and by then it's too late.
Or is it?
This album was a challenge I set for myself. On Black Friday, 2017, I decided I was going to attempt it. My goal was to record a song a day as often as I had time. Some days I didn't have time, some days I just didn't have it in me, but most days it panned out pretty well. By the seventeeth I was done and starting final mixdowns and designing the cover art. On the 22nd I released it by gifting some copies to close friends and family. I was aware all along that it was a crappy release window, but frankly I did this largely for myself just to see if I still had it in me.
Obviously, I couldn't repeat any songs from Merry, Merry, Merry. It was also important to me that the tracks be comprised of more traditional Christmas songs in order to align with my deepening Christian faith. I find it a pleasure to listen to, even after Christmas, and hope you do, too, for years to come.
Merry Christmas!
