Probably my longest title. Wrote this one fairly late in the recording process, but there was this quality about it that I couldn't explain — it was so lilting, so pleasant, it kinda just makes you smile — I just had to record it. It was interesting to me that each line just kept leading into the next. There really are no defined verses; it's just one long verse, solo, one long verse, fade. It has me, Bryan and Chris on backup on the fade, but I'm the only one I ever hear — probably because we had to use one microphone and crowd around it, and I was in the middle. I gave Pat credit for singing on this one, but he actually couldn't make it that day, so he's not on it.
I need you girl
In my heart I know
That I need you girl
But I don't know how to show
That I need you girl
But I don't know how to say
That I need you girl
But I just can't find a way
To tell you girl
Instead I lose control
I'm not so brave
And maybe not so bold
But I need you girl
What more can I say
Yeah, I need you girl
But I just can't find a way
To tell you girl
All I want to say
I need you girl
But I just can't find a way
To get to you
To say what's in my heart
To let you know
Instead I fall apart
I need you girl
But I don't know how to say
That I need you girl
Now I just can't find a way
I need you girl
Though I'll never say
That I need you girl
'Cause I just can't find a way
To speak my mind
To let my feelings show
I need you girl
I've got to let you know
That I need you girl
More than words can say
Yeah, I need you girl
But I just can't find a way
