This one probably has the most bazaar story behind it. Back in college, I took a marketing course. As part of the class, there was a group project where we had to develop a marketing campaign for a product of our choice, real or imagined. We chose Coca-Cola, and being the end of the fall semester, we decided to tie Coca-Cola into the Christmas season. So of course I agreed to write the jingle. This was the first (and only) time I'd written a song not only under a deadline, but with a specific theme and title ("It's A Coca-Cola Christmas"). I liked the jingle too much not to keep it, so I shortly after "genericized" it, and here it is today. (By the way, we got an A on our campaign.)
Snow is falling to the ground
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Friends and family gather round
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Presents under the tree
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
It's the best time of the year
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Santa Claus will soon be here
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Hang a stocking for me
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Come and take a walk with me
In this winter wonderland
Come and share this holiday
It's Christmas time again
Light the candles, ring the bells
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Season's greetings, we wish you well
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Raise your glass to old times
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
Drink a toast to auld lang syne
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
It's an old-fashioned Christmas
