About

I wrote "Sunday Driver" tongue-in-cheek, but now I don't particularly care for it, and I refuse to play it live because frankly I find the "Beep! Beep!" embarrassing. I basically wrote this song because the Beatles did "Drive My Car" and sang "Beep! Beep!", and I figured if they could do it, so could I (never mind they're the Beatles and they could do anything they wanted). I'll admit the song has a driving beat and is probably one of my better rockers.

Lyrics

Woke up late Sunday morning
Nothing better to do
I hopped in my car to go for a ride
Now I'm stuck behind you

Beep! Beep! You better move over
Sunday driver, you're slowing me down
Beep! Beep! You can't go much slower
Sunday driver, I'm coming around

I got my foot pushing the pedal
I got the top down and shades
I'd hit the road but what do you know
You're a one-car blockade

Beep! Beep! You better move over
Sunday driver, you're slowing me down
Beep! Beep! You can't go much slower
Sunday driver, I'm coming around

Don't like to stop, don't like to brake
Don't even like to slow down
I've got my rules, I'm king of the road
You better move, I'm coming through
You better get out of my way

Beep! Beep! You better move over
Sunday driver, you're slowing me down
Beep! Beep! You can't go much slower
Sunday driver, I'm coming around

People say I'm heading for danger
But I like it that way
I like to go fast, I like to kick up the dust
And I mean what I say

Beep! Beep! You better move over
Sunday driver, you're slowing me down
Beep! Beep! You can't go much slower
Sunday driver, I'm coming around
Sunday driver, you're slowing me down
Sunday driver, I'm coming around
