This was the first recorded track. I'd been listening to The Fireman (both Strawberries Oceans Ships Forest and Rushes), and thought how fun it would be to do something different. Plus, I was coming off the creative high of Merry, Merry, Merry and was wanting to do some more and go a step further. So I plugged in this old Korg drum machine and pretty much improvised as I went along. I did "Tom's Spirit" Memorial Day weekend, and being the weekend my brother Tom was killed in 1994, I named it in honor of him.
