This gator has no bite

I never really watched Ally McBeal or The Practice, so I can't claim to be a particular David E. Kelley fan. That's not so say I have anything against him, I'm just generally not a follower of his. However, the one exception is Lake Placid. It's best left to the viewer to decide whether it's a comedy or horror movie, but personally I look at it as a comedy. The apt characterizations and crisp dialog can best be summed up in one word: sarcastic.   Read More →

I'd buy that for a dollar!

What is one to do when one has promised the children a certain something, yet in the end one just doesn't feel well enough to follow through? Why, bribe them, of course.   Read More →

Not dead, just feels like it

I know it's been a while since I've posted anything, but I came down sick last weekend and frankly, just haven't felt the urge to do it. I really hate the site getting stale, but sometimes other things come first.   Read More →

Tickle me where?!

Maybe I should be ashamed that I look at a cute little kids' toy and see a pedophiliac's wet dream.   Read More →

A license to kill, dammit

Having just had a birthday recently, I got my new driver's license last week. It wasn't a particularly unpleasant experience as BMV visits go, and it's kind of exciting (in that mundune pathetic sort of way) to have a new license with holograms and bar codes and other fancy stuff.   Read More →

Oops! Did I say that?

I like reading about the fallacies and near-sighted marketing of large corporations. I suppose it's a form of schadenfreude. Both are fascinating and humorous.   Read More →

If it's not food, then what is it?

We went to a Chinese buffet restaurant yesterday, and this sign struck me as very funny. In particular, I like the quotes around the word "food."   Read More →

Fresh and clean as a... urinal cake?

This is going to sound bizarre for a moment, but I really do have a point, so bear with me. I was on-site at a client's today, and used their restroom. I must say, it was pretty nice. Very clean. And part of that cleanliness was the air freshener. I know half the population knows that smell because it stems from the urinal cakes. But this wasn't the usual cloying, thickly sweet scent, but something different.   Read More →

Um, season's tidings, I guess

Okay, so I haven't posted anything for a while. The first order of business is to wish everyone a belated merry Christmas and a happy New Year. There, I said it.   Read More →

Okay, but don't slow down that much

Be careful what you wish for, you just might get it. After my lament of over-rushed fast food, I guess it's some sort of cosmic irony that our meal last night was anything but fast.   Read More →
