Fun and games revisited

Having realized I'd written a post about MMORPG's and then said nothing more about it, I guess it's time for a little update. I still wouldn't call myself a hard-core gamer of any sort, but I'm starting to develop an appreciation for these kinds of games.   Read More →

Zoo Tycoon 2: The new zoo

We took the kids to the zoo this morning. A trip to the zoo is usually a story in and of itself, but there's actually not much to tell today. This year they've built a new section and a new entrance, and it was all very cool. The hippo/rhino building stinks to high heaven, as usual. We forgot the camera. And we were able to get in and out and see everything we wanted to see in about an hour.   Read More →

Where does the time go?

It never ceases to amaze me how fast time seems to fly by. It seems we spend our childhoods impatiently waiting to grow older, and adulthood futilely trying not to grow old.   Read More →

The plot thickens

I was only kidding when I titled the last post being about a mystery, but things seem to have spiraled out of control since then.   Read More →

A mystery wrapped up in an enigma with a dash of quandry

Hmm, looks like I'm averaging a post about every two weeks now. It's not that I've had nothing to say, I just haven't taken the time to say it. Then, when I do have the time, I either forget or decide it's not worth saying anymore.   Read More →

Fun and games

Okay, okay, haven't posted anything in a while. What can I say, I've been lazy. Sure, there've been plenty of things to write about, but I just never seem to get around to them, and then they're gone. Ah, well. Coupled with that is the daily minutiae of life. If it's not one thing, it's another. You know how that goes. Still, I didn't create this with the intention of crying "woe is me" if I can help it, so that's all I have to say about that.   Read More →

Drink the Kool-Aid

Okay, it's not really Kool-Aid, but I found a new drink that I find surprisingly good.   Read More →

Smells that last a lifetime

I picked the kids up from their summer program last evening, and the youngest was complaining of a migraine. He gets these from time to time, but there was nothing I could do until we got home, five minutes away. But I knew I was in trouble when he informed me, "I think I'm going to barf."   Read More →

Odds 'n' ends...

All right, all right. I guess I've put this off long enough. The dreaded mega-post which, as I write this, probably won't be all that large anyway. Still, I've got several small things and I guess it does make sense to roll them all into one. So here goes.   Read More →

Sixteen what?!

First, a word on the mega-post: I'm working on it. I have the pictures and I'm in the process of manipulating and uploading them. Then I'll write some words and everyone will be happy.

Now on to the topic at hand. As a parent, it seems nothing should surprise me anymore, but it does. Saturday the missus and I were going over our cable bill when we saw a pay-per-view charge for an independent art-house film with the deeply philosophical title of Sixteen Lesbians without Panties.   Read More →
